Air Calculation: Maps for nominal charge calculation and volumetric efficiency at part load.
Airflow Correction: Multipliers for volumetric efficiency based on coolant and intake temperatures, as well as airflow through the throttle body.
Idle Speed: Management of desired idle speeds in drive and P/N, including adjustments for high-octane fuel and AC-on conditions.
Limiters: Adjustments for engine speed (RPM) limits based on oil/coolant temperature and vehicle speed (Vmax) limitation.
Injection: Control over fuel quantity, Lambda base values, and power enrichment for both regular and high-octane fuels.
Spark Advance: Editing of base ignition angle maps, knock detection factors, and spark corrections based on engine or intake air temperatures.
Turbo: Comprehensive control over boost pressure, target pressure ratios, wastegate area calibration, and compressor inlet protection.
Torque: Mapping of accelerator pedal torque requests and gear-specific torque limits.
Variable Valve Timing (VVT): Adjustments for both intake and exhaust camshaft angles.
DTC: Management of Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Throttle: Control of throttle valve opening angles and adaptation voltage limits.
Temperature: Monitoring and adjustment of Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT).
Editing calibrations with this module requires a compatible bin file read from the ECU. Because GPEC4 units often feature factory tuning protection, they generally must be unlocked using a tool like the BitBox FCA Petrol Gen2 CAN module before modified files can be written back to the vehicle.
