The BitEdit Continental GPEC (SIM90) software module is a professional calibration editor for Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles equipped with the Continental GPEC (SIM90) engine control unit (ECU). This hardware is based on the Motorola MPC561 microcontroller and features a 2MB external FLASH memory.
Reading/Writing: To read or write these ECUs via the OBD2 diagnostic connector, the BitBox Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep Petrol CAN module (FID: 16) is required.
Policy: This module does not allow URGENT requests for adding new descriptions or map updates.
Requirement: A BitSoftware USB security dongle (Senselock) is mandatory to run the software.
The module provides access to a comprehensive set of maps for engine tuning and optimization:
Airflow Management: Volumetric efficiency (VE) maps, airmass flow limiters, and airmass flow through the throttle body.
Power & Torque: Maximal engine power and power correction maps.
Fueling & Lambda: Target lambda values, power enrichment, warm-up lambda corrections, and overall fuel flow.
Injection Control: Injection timing control, injector dead time, flow rate, and injector pressure correction.
Ignition (Spark): Spark advance maps with corrections for various operation modes.
Knock Management: Knock retardation, knock sensor sensitivity, and gain adjustments.
Limiters & Idle: Idle speed RPM for different modes, as well as engine speed (rev) and vehicle speed limitations.
Throttle & Pedal: Pedal requested power and throttle valve position management.
Diagnostics: A DTC mask editor is available to manage error codes.
