Calibration Map Capabilities

The module provides access to a comprehensive suite of engine management maps:

• Airflow Management: Includes Volumetric Efficiency (VE) calculation with multipliers and corrections, desired airflow at startup, and various airflow limiters.

• Fueling Control: Adjustments for injection compensations, injection PWM offset, and PWM scalar.

• Ignition Timing: Maps for spark advance at part load and WOT, optimal spark advance, and spark advance adjustments based on coolant and intake air temperatures.

• Limiters & Protection: Features knock retardation control, spark advance limitations, engine speed (RPM) limitation in Drive and P/N, and vehicle speed limitation (where applicable).

• Variable Valve Timing (VVT) & Throttle: Controls for VVT intake/exhaust camshaft angles and throttle valve management.

• Diagnostics: A dedicated DTC mask is available to manage diagnostic trouble codes.

Key Differences from GPEC2A

While similar to the GPEC2A module, the standard GPEC2 module uses the MPC5566 processor (vs. the MPC5764) and has a smaller 3 MB flash memory footprint (vs. 4 MB). Ensure you have identified the correct ECU hardware before purchasing or attempting to edit.
