Product Overview

The BitBox FCA Petrol Gen2 CAN module is a professional software solution designed for working with engine control units (ECUs) in FCA Group vehicles (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Fiat). This module targets normally aspirated petrol cars manufactured from 2013 onwards that feature internal tuning protection.

• Core Requirement: To write modified files (MOD), the ECU's internal protection must first be removed via ECU Unlock in BSL mode.

• Workflow: Unlocking requires opening the ECU and connecting it on a bench as detailed in the official connection manual.

Key Operations & Features

The module provides a comprehensive suite of tools for both diagnostic and tuning purposes:

• Status Check: Identification and retrieval of the current LOCK status (LOCKED or UNLOCKED).

• Reading: Supports OBD2 FULLFLASH and EEPROM reading.

• Writing: Enables writing to the OBD2 Calibration area and EEPROM once unlocked.

• Diagnostic Tools: Capability to read and clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC).

• Restore Utility: Supports restoring the original bootloader through the "Remove protection" feature.
