The TopDiag P50 is a multi-functional automotive electrical tester designed to identify circuit faults quickly and accurately across a wide range of vehicles. This compact, handheld "power probe" style pen features a high-visibility LED digital display and integrated indicator lights to identify polarity, measure real-time voltage, and diagnose complex electrical issues that standard test lights might miss.
The TopDiag P50 is a Universal Diagnostic Tool compatible with any vehicle or equipment operating within a 5V to 30V DC range. It is ideal for:
Passenger Vehicles: All major automotive brands (Toyota, Nissan, BMW, Mercedes, Ford, etc.) for 12V system testing.
Heavy Duty & Commercial: 24V Trucks, Buses, and Industrial vehicles.
Powersports: Motorcycles, ATVs, and Scooters.
Marine & Outdoor: Boats, Trailers, and 12V/24V battery systems.
The P50 replaces multiple tools by performing the following essential diagnostic tasks:
| Task Category | Specific Capabilities & Functions |
| Voltage Measurement | Real-time digital display of DC voltage from 5V up to 30V with high accuracy. |
| Polarity Detection | Dual-color LED indicators: Red for Positive (+) and Green for Negative (-). |
| Load Testing | Integrated 5W bulb acts as a load to detect "virtual voltage" and poor grounding issues. |
| Component Testing | Fast detection for Fuses, Relays, Hall Sensors, and ABS circuits. |
| Signal Prediction | Estimates frequency for AC signals like Fuel Injectors, Ignition Pulses, and Crank Sensors. |
| Circuit Safety | Three working modes allow for safe testing on sensitive electronic computer modules. |
| Illumination | Built-in torch lighting function for clear visibility in dark engine bays. |
Setup: Connect the large alligator clip to a known good ground (negative) on the vehicle's battery or chassis.
Mode Select: Press the physical button on the pen body to cycle through the 3 Modes:
Mode 1: Both the digital display and the 5W bulb work together for full load testing.
Mode 2: Digital display only (bulb off) for testing sensitive computer circuits.
Mode 3: Bulb only (display off) for traditional quick fault checks.
Test: Touch the sharp stainless steel probe to the wire or terminal. Read the voltage on the screen and observe the LED colors.
Identify: A Red LED signifies positive power; a Green LED indicates a proper ground path.
