The BitEdit Marelli 8Gx Petrol Turbo software module is a professional calibration editor for Dodge, Jeep, Fiat, and Abarth vehicles equipped with the Magneti Marelli 8GM/8GS engine control units. These ECUs are primarily found in 1.4L T-Jet (MultiAir Turbo) petrol engines.

Core Capabilities

The module allows for deep modification of turbocharging, fueling, and timing parameters to optimize engine performance:

• Boost & Airflow Control: Includes maps for target manifold pressure, manifold pressure recovery, and compressor pressure ratio for overspeed protection. It also features manifold pressure limitation, throttle pressure reduction for boost limiting, and wastegate operation maps.

• Power & Torque Management: Provides power and torque limitation maps, relative power request tables, and power maps for various operating modes.

• Ignition & Timing: Supports base spark advance, spark advance for maximal torque (with corrections), and minimal spark advance settings.

• Fueling & Air-Fuel Ratio: Features target lambda maps for both hot and cold engine states, target lambda at Wide Open Throttle (WOT), and phase of injection management.

• Speed & Idle Limits: Allows for modification of engine speed (RPM) limitation and idle speed control.

• Diagnostics: A dedicated DTC mask is available for managing error codes.

• Security: A BitSoftware Senselock USB dongle is required to run the license.

• Architecture: The software utilizes a client-server architecture and requires a permanent Internet connection.

• Policy: The developer does not accept URGENT requests for adding new descriptions or maps to this module.
