The BitEdit Continental GPEC2A software module is a professional solution for editing calibrations in Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Fiat vehicles equipped with the Continental GPEC2A ECU. This hardware is built on the NXP/Freescale MPC5764 microcontroller and features 4MB of internal flash memory.

• Airflow & Volumetric Efficiency: Volumetric efficiency (VE) calculation (with multipliers and corrections), desired airflow at startup, and airflow limiters.

• Idle & Speed Control: Idle speed control for various operating modes, engine speed (RPM) limitation for Drive and P/N, and vehicle speed limitation (where available).

• Fuel & Injection: Injection compensations, injection PWM offset, PWM scalar, and closed-loop control settings with associated delays.

• Ignition (Spark Advance): Spark advance for part load and WOT (Wide Open Throttle), optimal spark advance, adjustments for coolant and intake air temperature, spark advance during VVT launch, and spark advance limitation.

• Torque & VVT: Pedal power (torque) request, knock retardation control, throttle valve control, and VVT intake and exhaust camshaft angles.

• Diagnostics: Includes a dedicated DTC mask for managing and disabling diagnostic trouble codes.

Technical Usage & Requirements

• Hardware: Operation requires a BitSoftware Senselock USB security dongle.

• Connectivity: The software uses a client-server architecture and requires a permanent Internet connection.

• Writing Protection: These ECUs typically feature a LOCK (tuning protection). To write a modified file, the ECU must first be unlocked in BSL mode using the BitBox FCA Petrol Gen2 CAN module, which requires opening the ECU.
