The BitBox Ford Vitesco / Continental Gen2 module is a professional software solution designed for reading and writing engine control units (ECUs) in Ford petrol and diesel vehicles. It specifically targets newer-generation SID213 and SID213EVO ECUs featuring the TC387 microcontroller with 10MB of internal flash.

Core Functionality

The module provides essential service-level operations:

• Software Identification: Retrieves ECU hardware and software versions.

• Memory Management: Allows reading and writing of both SOFT (software) and CAL (calibration) memory areas.

• Checksum (CS) Correction: Automatically verifies and fixes control sums during the writing process to ensure data integrity.

Operation Modes

Critical Technical Requirements

• Voltage Sensitivity: In OBD mode, the system is highly sensitive to voltage drops. A high-quality battery charger must be used to prevent flashing failures.

• Recovery Procedure: If an OBD write failure occurs, the ECU must be recovered in BENCH mode using a Scanmatik 3 adapter.

• Activation: Requires a BitSoftware USB dongle for license authorization.
