Editable Map Categories

This module provides a comprehensive set of maps for detailed engine tuning:

1. Torque and Engine Speed

• Idle Speed: Control of idle engine speed across all available modes.

• Torque Model: Friction and drag torque control, indicated torque control, and relative/requested torque under various conditions.

• Limitations: Full load torque limitation, slow down torque, and power limit torque.

• Rev Limiter: Access to the engine speed (RPM) limiter.

2. Ignition and Fueling

• Spark Advance: Modification of base, optimal, and minimal advance angles, along with correction factors.

• Knock Control: Adjustment of knock sensor sensitivity and spark advance corrections based on fuel quality.

• Lambda Control: Target lambda settings for part load, full load, and WOT (Wide Open Throttle) modes.

• Efficiency: Combustion efficiency parameters based on lambda values.

3. Airflow and Induction

• Airmass Calculation: Maps for airmass correction, compression ratio, and air density values.

• Throttle Control: Target position maps for the throttle valve and its mechanical law of operation.

• Exhaust Model: Calculations and corrections for exhaust gas temperature and pressure.

System Requirements

• Security Dongle: A BitSoftware Senselock USB dongle is strictly required to host and activate the module license.

• Automatic Identification: Upon opening a compatible firmware file, BitEdit automatically identifies the file and displays the list of available parameters for editing.

Related ECU Tools

While BitEdit is used for calibration editing, a flasher like BitBox is typically used for the reading and writing of these ECUs. For the IAW 9GV, operations often require BSL mode or specialized bench connections depending on the flasher license used.
