Module BMW Exx Bosch CAN

This module allows reflashing BMW Exx vehicles via the OBD2 connector using Bosch CAN-bus ECUs. No need to dismount, open, or drill the ECU – this is a full OBD2 solution.

It allows virtual reading and writing of the calibration area.

Module BMW Fxx Bosch ENET

This module allows reflashing Bosch ECUs in diesel BMW Fxx vehicles via the OBD2 connector using Ethernet (ENET). No need to dismount, open, or drill the ECU – this is a full OBD2 solution.

Warning:

  • This module does not work with a J2534 adapter. A BMW ENET-to-OBD2 cable is required.

  • This ECU family cannot be used on the bench.

Module BMW Fxx/Gxx Bosch MG1/MD1 ENET

This module allows reflashing Bosch MG1 and MD1 ECUs in BMW Fxx and Gxx vehicles via the OBD2 connector using Ethernet (ENET).

It supports Bosch ECUs based on:

  • NXP MPC5777 with 7.5 MB main flash memory

  • Infineon Aurix TC298 with 8 MB memory

Supported FIDs:

  • BMW Fxx/Gxx Bosch MG1 MPC5777 ENET (FID: 160)

  • BMW Fxx/Gxx Bosch MD1 MPC5777 ENET (FID: 161)

  • BMW Fxx/Gxx Bosch MG1 TC298 ENET (FID: 162)

  • BMW Fxx/Gxx Bosch MD1 MPC5777 ENET ECU #2 (FID: 163)

  • BMW Fxx/Gxx Bosch MG1 TC298 ENET ECU #2 (FID: 164)

Module Features:

⚠️ WARNING — Important Compatibility Notice

Due to the release of new BMW software updates, the following databases are not supported for writing with BitBox (especially for the Bosch Fxx/Gxx MG1/MD1 ENET module):

  • ISTA‑P 3.67.0.000 (2019)

  • ISTA‑P 3.66.2.002 (2019)

If the file is not found on our server and the vehicle has fresh firmware:

Do NOT attempt to write to the ECU!

If you already attempted writing, immediately use the RECOVERY option without switching the ignition off.
You may also try recovery with E‑Sys or the dealer tool ISTA‑P.

The ISTA‑P 3.67 version is particularly dangerous and may brick the ECU — sometimes without any possibility of recovery, even with bench‑mode tools.

We are working on detection of the new security system and automatic blocking of unsupported files until safe writing is developed.
